"Yahangala" (Bedrock) in Sri Lanka

"Yahangala" is the one of attractive rock in Sri Lanka. Behind this "Yahangala", there is an amazing legend which hide of the history of "King Rawana" The amazing geography location of this "Yahangala"is providing the evidence how beautiful is this earth. Before the explaining of the legend which is hidden of this rock, its essential to see the pictures of this amazing rock.

This is not just a rock, has been surrounded from the jungle. Most of the Local and foreign tourists are loving to travel this area to feel the beautiful nature and its very relaxation to free their mind form the busy life.

The Legend is which has added to the Sri Lankan history is  regarding the most powerful king who was living in this small island Sri Lanka.
He is The King "Rawana". The king "Rawana" is the most powerful and great king who was in Sri Lanka and after the death of this king "Rawana",there is a belief among the people the death body has kept in this rock "Yahangala"(Bedrock).

The legend is not finished from that story. There is another belief that that is the holy  place of the local God call "Gale Bandara Dewiyo" Therefore, when tourists are travelling this place it's better to take the responsibility to protect this place and not to add garbages to this holy place and not to hunting any animals who live in this place. If not there is a belief that god will punish to travellers who is spoiling this pure place of god and there are many evidences for that. Hence,whoever travel this place local or foreign, they want to know to enjoy this nature and place without spoiling this environment.

This place good for camping and mostly 2 days trip is enough to visit this amazing rock. Apart from the rock there are waterfalls as well.
The most popular waterfall in this area is "Rawana Ella"
